PASTORAL SEARCH

WCAG is searching for a lead pastor who will be able to build community and connections. He will be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, practicing the gifts of the Spirit in his personal life and at church. He will be committed to the inerrancy and authority of the Bible, preaching the Biblical text with conviction. Possessing a shepherd’s heart for the church, he will be easily approachable and able to build relationships. He will lead the congregation and the staff with honesty, integrity, and humility, in addition to being passionate about evangelism and missions. The lead pastor will steer the staff and the Joint Board and will steward well the authority of the office of pastor. Using Biblical principles, he will communicate with clarity and grace the direction of the church. He will put God first, family second and the church third. The church desires a pastor who models faithful leadership in the home and allows that to overflow into his leadership at church. We do not expect Superman or Jesus as our next pastor. The lead pastor is a human being, not a machine. He will be the captain of the ship and the congregants are the crew. With the guiding of the Holy Spirit, the lead pastor will bring vision and mission to the church, prayerfully leading over time.
