Missions celebration weekend

Friday, October 4Missions Celebration Dinner featuring Dr. Alton Garrison. Dr. Garrison is the former Assistant General Superintendent of the Assemblies as well as the former Executive Director of Assemblies of God U.S. Missions (AGUSM). He brings a passion for the lost and the mission of the local church. You will be encouraged, inspired, and even entertained by the ministry of Dr. Alton Garrison. The evening will include a delicious steak dinner and begin at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are just $20 and can be purchased below.

Saturday, October 5Missions GO Day! This will be a day of hands-on mission's projects to minister to our community. Projects at area schools, churches, and ministries are planned for you to sign up and be part of on GO Day. 

St. Louis Area Food Bank (70 Corporate Woods Dr. Bridgeton, MO 63044)

6 volunteers are needed to help with repackaging and sorting food in the repackaging center from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. This can include building food boxes for senior citizens, sorting food drive donations, packaging produce into individual family size portions, etc. Please note that volunteers will be on their feet for the majority of their shift. Some volunteers may be asked to lift and/or move boxes of food weighing up to 50 lbs. Volunteers must be ages 16 or older. To learn more about the St. Louis Area Food Bank, visit www.stlfoodbank.org

DITTO Family Resale (10027 Manchester Rd., St. Louis, MO 63122)

2 female volunteers are needed to help at their dressing rooms with hanging, tagging, and steaming clothing during each of the following shift times: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Volunteers must be ages 16 and older. Mason Ridge Elementary School (715 S. Mason Rd., St. Louis, MO 63141)

5-10 volunteers are needed to help with grounds fall clean up and gardening on the school campus from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Please bring any gardening tools for trimming, rakes, or brooms, tarps for compost disposal to assist in your service. You may be also distributing mulch, so if you have a wheel barrel that would be helpful. You will also want to bring a water bottle. Children are welcome to serve as long as they are supervised by a parent. There will not be restrooms, so please plan accordingly. STUFF-N-MORE Outreach Thrift Store (4649 Gravois Rd., House Springs, MO 63051)

Sunday, October 6Missions Promise Day featuring Dr. Kevin Donaldson. Kevin and his wife Lucy are former missionaries to India, and Kevin currently serves as Executive Administrator of Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM). During the Sunday morning service at 10:30 a.m., you will be challenged to make a Monthly Faith Promise to help us not only give to the missionaries we currently support but also to extend our support to new missionaries in need.
