Board Of Deacons
The Board of Deacons manages the business of the church and provides counsel and mutual assistance in the administration of the business and work of the assembly. Together with the Elders, they form the Joint Committee and work with the Pastoral Staff as the leadership team of WCAG. The following members make up our current Board of Deacons:
John Cannon

John Cannon is a native St. Louisan and has been married to his wife, Lori, for 25 years. They have (3) children: Rachel, Daniel and Andrew. Although raised in church, John had a 'born-again' experience by way of finding a Christian tract in a residence hall restroom at Kansas State University in 1979. He feels his understanding of Jesus Christ began at this 'fateful' moment in history. John and Lori met at West County Assembly of God in 1982 and have been attending ever since, getting married in October, 1987 by Pastor Charlie Arsenault. They became members of the church in the 1990's. John is an active participant in the church and has been a Sunday School teacher for a variety of classes over the years; he is also involved in the nursing home ministry. He and his daughter went on one of the church's missions trip in 2008. John is an architect at HOK where he is a Vice-President in their Science + Technology Group. .
Stan Roberts – Secretary
Stan has attended West County since the mid-1980’s. Stan and Carrie live in Chesterfield and have two young daughters. They have been involved with the music ministry and the nursery. Their parents also attend West County. They really enjoy being a part of a small group and encourage everyone that attends West County to become involved in a small group to get connected. Stan work as a pension actuary in Clayton and is a fan of baseball, particularly the Cardinals.
Dan Arnold – Treasurer
Dan and his wife, Lynda, have been married for nearly 25 years and have two boys that they are extremely proud of. Nathan is a sophomore at Mizzou, is studying business, and hopes to go to law school after he finishes his undergraduate studies. Clayton is a junior at Parkway South, is a great student, and plays for the varsity baseball team. Lynda has truly been the joy of Dan's life and has been his biggest supporter through thick and thin. Most of all, he's thankful his entire family is serving the Lord. He's served the church in various capacities over the years. He's been a sound technician, video technician, Royal Rangers leader, and deacon. He's also participated in several small groups and prayer groups, which he thinks are vital to the church and instrumental in his growth as a believer.
Joe McClurg
Joe and Lynn were married in March 2000. They have three daughters in grade school; Megan, Sarah, and Emily. Lynn works part time as a nurse, but spends most of her time as a domestic engineer and

volunteers a lot at the girls' school. Joe works as a senior analytical chemist for a pharmaceutical group at Covidien-Mallinckrodt in St. Louis. Joe started coming to West County Assembly of God in 1984 when his family moved to Creve Coeur from Festus. He has considered himself a Christian since he was a small boy. However, he feels that his walk wasn't always what it should have been and as a young adult remembers feeling 'burned out' on Christian stuff. For several years he ignored the calling God had on his life. He has made mistakes and faced the consequences for many of them. Thankfully, God is full of mercy and grace and He continued to pursue him. Joe is now blessed to enjoy a wonderful Christian family and lead a life that is in constant pursuit of what God has for him. He says, 'I love Him more every day and look forward to eternity in His presence!'
Bob Bollinger
Bob and his family have been attending WCAG since 1998. During the time at WCAG, he has been involved with missions trips, teaching classes, Junior Bible quiz and Royal Rangers, as well as serving on the Deacon Board. He was raised in a small town in the mountains of Colorado. After attending one year of Bible college in Ohio, he transferred to Evangel University in Springfield, MO to continue his Bible education and play football. His senior year of college he met his wife, Penn,y and followed her to Ft. Worth, Texas. They were married in May of 1987. The company he worked for transferred them to St. Louis at the end of 1997. They have three children, all born in Texas: Bailey attends Evangel University, Chase is a Senior at Eureka High School, and Gracie is in eighth grade and attends Lasalle Middle School.
Dave Patient

Dave has been married to Janet for 30 years. They have three sons and four grandchildren. Their sons are Darrin, Damon (married to Sally, grandchildren Mary, John, Jack, Bradley) and Luke (married to Emily). Dave has lived in St. Louis all his life. They have attended WCAG since 1983 and been members since 1984. Dave served as a Royal Rangers commander from 1987 to 2003. He served as an usher for a couple years.
